Though the Terminator Chaplain can only exchange their Stormbolter for a weapon from the Combi-weapons list, the Terminator Captain says he can replace both his Stormbolter and Power Sword with a Power Fist or Thunder Hammer each! They also both say they can be replaced with a Storm Shield, but that specifically says "maximum 1 per model". No options at al to represent the multitude that he has, which I found out after searching Wahapedia for their datasheet half expecting to find him in Legends. I was able to determine that all current Terminator kits are sold with 40mm bases, and discovered during this that they do technically still have a Terminator Captain, but he's a monopose 30k crossover packed with a monopose 30k Chaplain, and not even a Terminator Chaplain at that.

Perhaps more surprising for it, since by the look of it it wouldn't surprise me if it were the an original printing with the original paintjob advertised back in the 90s. Especially since they still have a Terminator Librarian, even if it is "Temporarily out of stock Online" right now, and even a Terminator Rune Priest as well, even if it is an original sculpt that's still pictured on a 25mm base. The miniature is push-fit, so requires no glue to assemble.Ĭhaplain Tarentus is available for a limited time.So I was cleaning some rescue models tonight and went to figure out what size base the Terminator Captain and Chaplain should be on now only to find that GW no longer has them listed on their web store! I knew that they seem to be slowly replacing the First Born with Primaris, but to no longer have dedicated Terminator kits for neither Captains nor Chaplains came as quite a shock to me.

This model is supplied in 9 plastic components and also contains a bespoke 40mm scenic base on the frame. A Chaplain is not only a capable fighter, but as a spiritual leader, is among the most inspiring Characters in the Space Marines roster, able to offer a number of powerful effects to nearby units of Space Marines. This Chaplain model can be used by any First Founding Chapter or one of their successors, and even the Deathwatch. Tarentus is armed with a crozius arcanum – a Chaplain’s symbol of office – as well as a combi-flamer, and his Terminator armour is heavily decorated with filigree, scrollwork and purity seals. Thus, Chaplains are also trained to wear formidable Terminator armour so they can fight alongside Veteran battle-brothers.

Every Space Marine is roused to war by the litanies of their Chaplains, and never is this spiritual fortification more vital than amidst the blood and horror of boarding actions and beachhead strikes.
